What do REACH / CLP / UN-GHS mean for my products?

Since 1 December 2010, substances have to be classified and labelled according to CLP.

Do you distribute mixtures in the EU or EEC countries?

Since 1 June 2015, mixtures have to be classified, labelled and packed according to CLP. Mixtures already placed on the market before 1 June 2015, which means having been already part of the supply chain before this date, hat fallen under an extendend transition period till 1 June 2017.
Since 1 June 2017 only mixtures classified and labelled according to CLP are allowed on the market, which means in the whole supply chain.

Do you distribute substances or mixtures worldwide?

Subject to the particular distribution country or region, national implementations of UN-GHS apply.
The implementation of UN-GHS is spread differently depending in country and region. The standard of the particular country / region is crucial here.

Conclusion: GHS actually means "Global Harmonized System" - national or regional differences remain and have to be considered for the EC-safety data sheets / (M)SDS and labels.
