Fire safety assistants are employees in the company who take on the task of fighting fires without endangering themselves and saving lives in an emergency.
The employer must familiarize a sufficient number of employees (5 percent with normal fire risk) with expert instruction and practical exercises in dealing with fire-fighting equipment and naming them as fire safety assistants. The aim of the training offered is the safe handling and use of fire-fighting equipment to combat incipient fires without endangering oneself and to ensure the self-reliance (flight) of the employees.
